The pirate chorus "De Stormvogels" of Emmen (DR) was founded in 1999 and consists of a sixty savage zeepiraten. A pirate chorus by the lack of a large sea may not be immediately expected in Emmen, but with the advent of large Rietplas and the many channels that are still fresh, the pirates are well off their feet.
The pirates not only sing the famous sailor songs and Shanty's true, but also bring the traditonals and evergreens to sing.
As the pirates sailed every ocean of the world, not scare them back for a song in English, German or even Drenthse text. The pirates sing a lot on distant shores, foreign countries and drink, but also about all the beautiful women they encounter in the ports where they build.
The choir has its own pirate pirate orchestra consisting of several accordionists, a drummer, a bassist and a guitarist. Also let one of our singers regularly heard his bagpipes. We have our own professional sound and great power to the buttons.
On the banks of the great Rietplas in Emmen, in Parc Sandur Center, exercises the pirate choir "De Stormvogels" every week under the guidance of their enthusiastic conductor.
