Pirates Choir "De Stormvogels"
During a storm in February 1999 happened to Pirate Ship "De Stormvogel".
There were unfortunately a number of survivors who washed ashore with some wreckage on the beach of the Rietplas near Emmen. These men were lovingly taken care of by locals and sang beautiful songs of gratitude.
This anecdote shows how the fate something can determine, for on September 2, 1999 had been so many men reported to sing about the sea, drink and beautiful women, that a complete crew (chorus) was: Pirate Choir "De Stormvogels" was founded.
Led by their enthusiastic conductor, they have been many national and international festival with their preformance may cheer.
Meanwhile, the 10 year anniversary in 2009 and have been celebrated over the years, three CD `s and made a DVD.
In the jubilee year, a feature film made with the appropriate title "Piraat tegen wil en dank", 10 songs herein are also processed and is available on DVD.
